PhD positions 2026 (2nd call): the call is open!
ComplexCité offers 4 PhD positions in 2026 (more about the contract). Candidates must have a master’s degree or an equivalent diploma at the time of their enrolment (beginning of the PhD). They must not have been awarded a doctoral degree. The criteria for selection are scientific excellence and quality of the scientific project; the call also aims to promote applications that fit into an inter-team project of the ComplexCité consortium. The selection will be made by a jury made up of the Scientific Committee. Note that it is mandatory to be already in contact with the proposed thesis advisor(s) who belong(s) to ComplexCité to apply. Deadlines:
- Opening: 20 April 2026
- Closure: 22 May 2026
- Publication of the results: June 2025
How to apply. The applicants should prepare a single PDF file that includes:

- Curriculum vitae
- Description of the scientific project (max. 3 pages)
- Letter of recommendation from the proposed postdoctoral supervisor(s) who belong(s) to ComplexCité
- Complete track record of master studies (all grades available at the date of submission; master diploma if already obtained)

Results:
- Raphaël Stussi is a recipient of the ComplexCité 2025 PhD funding call. He will carry out his PhD at MAP5 on the topic “Development and analysis of algorithms for electron cryo-microscopy,” under the supervision of Rémy Abergel, Sylvain Durand, and Camille Pouchol (MAP5).
